Job Description

Job Overview The Service Center Coordinator at Carolina Marina supports the daily administrative operations of the Service Center, working directly with and reporting to the Service Center Manager. This role is responsible for scheduling, invoicing, parts receiving and ordering, and customer communication, allowing the Service Center Manager to focus on technical operations, team leadership, and profitability. This role does not require prior experience in marine or automotive service. The right candidate is proficient with computers and comfortable learning new software platforms; prior experience with QuickBooks is a plus but not required. Above all, this person should be intellectually curious and willing to do self-directed research when questions come up, rather than expecting to be walked through every answer. Over time, the Coordinator will also be trained in the technical and operational side of the Service Center under the Service Center Manager's direction, with opportunity for growth into greater responsibility. This position reports directly to the Service Center Manager. Responsibilities Scheduling & Administrative Support
  • Learn how to and assist in coordinating and maintaining the Service Center's scheduling and workflow, ensuring jobs are tracked from intake through completion
  • Learn how to and assist in creating and managing customer estimates and invoices
  • Support the Service Center Manager with day-to-day administrative needs Parts & Inventory
  • Order, receive, and track parts and inventory needed for service jobs
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of parts orders and inventory status Customer Communication
  • Along with Service Manager, serve as a point of contact between customers and the Service Center, providing timely, clear, and professional communication
  • Assist with customer inquiries related to service status, estimates, and scheduling Systems & Software
  • Learn and maintain accurate records in QuickBooks and MarinaGo
  • Demonstrate comfort learning and adapting to new software platforms as needed
  • Research answers independently when questions arise Growth & Training
  • Learn the technical and operational fundamentals of the Service Center under the Service Center Manager's direction
