Administrative Assistant (for Home Visiting Program)
LOCATION
Education Department SALARY:
$22.50 (Part-Time)

Education Director Position Overview:
This position provides administrative support to the Pueblo's Home Visiting program, a culturally sensitive, in-home and community visitation service to families (prenatal to age five) of the Pueblo de San Ildefonso. The Administrative Assistant will assist the Home Visitor managing files and data related to family visits. The primary roles of this position will include data entry, helping to support timely data collection and reporting, compiling and uploading invoices, and organizing files, when needed. Inherent in the Education Department's mission is the belief that all families are capable of success if given the right opportunities and resources at the right time. Part of our work is to demonstrate and implement effective and proven early childhood and family support strategies, prenatal to age five, focused on quality, equity, and access. A critical component of such support is the Home Visiting Program. The Home Visiting Program is funded by the New Mexico Early Childhood Education and Care Department (ECECD) and assists families in linking them with relevant community resources and completing developmental and other screenings as required by program standards.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Enter program-related data into the ECECD database Compile and upload invoices onto the ECECD fiscal portal Maintain records (electronic and/or written) according to program standards and guidelines Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA requirements of families receiving home visiting services Demonstrate understandings of different backgrounds, family situations, and values; provides services in a culturally sensitive manner Perform within the prescribed limits of the Pueblo's ethics and compliance policies applied to all Pueblo employees Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required Ability to maintain accurate and current records and correspondence using both paper and electronic files Excellent interpersonal communication skills Ability to pass a mandatory background check and drug test Must have a valid New Mexico driver's license and be insurable through the Pueblo Ability to work independently and within a team setting Ability to work well in culturally diverse settings, which includes knowledge of local population served While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, or sit for long periods of time and use computer equipment and cell phones. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Due to the home-based model of services, the employee is required to work in participant families' homes and community resource agencies and business. Local travel is required, and occasional long-distance travel may be required for training purposes.
Native American Preference Pay:
$22.50 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 per week
