Core Title is seeking an Escrow Assistant who will also help manage the front desk and serve as a welcoming first point of contact for our Douglas County office. This position is designed to be the beginning of a long-term career path. Initially, you will combine front-office responsibilities with administrative and transactional support for our escrow team. As your experience and knowledge grow, you will become more deeply involved in escrow transactions and develop the skills necessary to become a full Escrow Officer. Our ideal candidate already has experience as an Escrow Assistant in title or some mortgage, banking, or real estate exposure would be great. However, we are also willing to train an exceptional candidate who is organized, dependable, customer-focused, and serious about building a career. The long-term goal is for the right person to develop into an Escrow Officer who can manage transactions, establish strong professional relationships, and eventually build a book of clients. Your Initial Responsibilities Welcome clients, real estate professionals, lenders, and other visitors Answer incoming calls and respond to questions professionally Provide dependable front-desk coverage Support Escrow Officers with administrative and transaction-related tasks Open new title and escrow orders Enter and maintain accurate information in the closing system Schedule appointments and coordinate calendars Organize, scan, distribute, and archive transaction documents Handle mail and general office communications Communicate with customers and transaction participants Maintain the confidentiality of customer and financial information Help track files, deadlines, and outstanding information As Your Skills and Experience Grow Depending on your experience and progress, you will have opportunities to learn and assist with: Managing transactions from opening through closing Reviewing purchase contracts, addendums, title commitments, and related documents Obtaining payoff information, tax information, HOA documents, and lien information Helping satisfy title requirements and resolve issues that could delay closing Preparing closing packages and reviewing transaction documents Coordinating with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, and title professionals Supporting signing, funding, recording, disbursement, and post-closing activities Preparing and distributing settlement information Providing proactive transaction updates Understanding the compliance requirements governing title and escrow transactions Developing relationships with customers and referral partners Building toward managing your own escrow desk and book of business Advancement will depend on job performance, mastery of the escrow process, customer service, initiative, compliance, and the ability to develop trusted professional relationships. Who We're Looking For We would like to meet candidates who have: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Professionalism and a customer-service mindset Careful attention to detail The ability to manage deadlines and shifting priorities A calm, solution-oriented approach when problems arise Comfort learning new technology, software, and processes A willingness to ask questions, accept feedback, and continue learning The dependability required to provide consistent front-office coverage A genuine interest in building a long-term career in title and escrow Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Consistent and reliable attendance Authorization to work in the United States Commitment to confidentiality, compliance, and ethical business practices Ability to successfully complete the company's pre-employment screening requirements Preferred Qualifications Escrow Assistant or escrow-processing experience Experience in title insurance, mortgage lending, banking, real estate, or settlement services Familiarity with SoftPro, RamQuest, ResWare, or similar software Experience reviewing title commitments, settlement statements, or closing documents Customer-service experience in a professional, deadline-driven environment Title and escrow experience is preferred, but it is not required for a candidate with the right aptitude, work ethic, and commitment to learning. Occasional overtime may be required during busy periods.
