In person The Vision Development Team is seeking a friendly, energetic, dependable Vision Therapy & Administrative Assistant to join our team. This is a unique, hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with people, likes variety, and takes pride in getting a lot accomplished each day. We are looking for someone who works with purpose and moves quickly and efficiently from one responsibility to the next while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and excellent patient care. Just as importantly, we want someone who spreads joy. We value team members who bring positive energy to the workplace, make patients and families feel welcome, support their coworkers, and help make our office a place people enjoy coming to. The position combines patient care and vision therapy with front-office responsibilities, administrative support, social media, special projects, and community events. No two days are exactly the same. You may spend part of your day working one-on-one with a patient, answering phones and scheduling appointments, preparing patient materials, completing administrative tasks, helping with social media, organizing an office project, or representing our practice at a community event. Previous vision therapy experience is not required. We will train the right person. About the Position As a Vision Therapy & Administrative Assistant, you will work closely with our doctors, therapists, and administrative team to help provide an exceptional experience for our patients and families.
Responsibilities may include:
Providing and assisting with vision therapy activities under the direction of our clinical team Working one-on-one with children, teens, and adults Preparing therapy rooms, equipment, and patient materials Greeting patients and creating a friendly, welcoming environment Answering and directing telephone calls Scheduling and confirming patient appointments Communicating professionally with patients and families Faxing, scanning, filing, and organizing records and documents Completing routine office and administrative tasks accurately and efficiently Maintaining clean, organized therapy and office areas Helping with patient education materials and office projects Assisting with social media content and practice communications Helping prepare for and participate in community outreach, health fairs, professional events, and other practice activities Recognizing what needs to be done and taking initiative to help accomplish it Supporting doctors, therapists, administrative staff, and other members of the team as needed The Person We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is a doer —someone who sees what needs to be accomplished and gets it done.

Experience Previous experience in healthcare, therapy, education, childcare, customer service, or an office environment is helpful, but vision therapy experience is not required. We are willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic, enjoys helping others, and is excited to learn. This position may be especially interesting to individuals with backgrounds or interests in: Occupational therapy Physical therapy Speech-language pathology Optometry Psychology Education Child development Exercise science Healthcare Rehabilitation About The Vision Development Team The Vision Development Team is a multidisciplinary practice specializing in developmental vision care, vision therapy, neuro-optometric rehabilitation, and programs designed to support visual, sensory, motor, and cognitive performance. We work with children and adults with a wide range of needs, including individuals experiencing difficulties with reading and learning, visual processing, eye tracking, focusing, coordination, attention, sports performance, and neurological or developmental challenges. College coursework or a degree in healthcare, education, psychology, therapy, exercise science, or a related field is a plus but is not required. Physical Requirements Because vision therapy can involve movement and hands-on activities, candidates should be comfortable with a job that may include standing, walking, demonstrating exercises, moving lightweight therapy equipment, and participating in therapeutic activities with patients.
