Job Description

Job Summary The Account Coordinator supports the Benefits Department by processing clerical and administrative tasks, while also assisting in managing and servicing an assigned book of business comprising of micro medical and ancillary only groups. The role involves both operational support (enrollments, mail, phone,proposals) and client service (renewals, quoting, coverage analysis,communication). This position is designed for individuals seeking to develop technical knowledge and account management skills in employee benefits. Responsibilities Managing employee enrollments, changes, and terminations for group policies across various carriers. Enter client census data and request quotes using carrier websites. Assemble proposals and open enrollment materials through our software program, EB3. Operate the telephone console for incoming calls; handle customer and carrier communications. Support account management by analyzing customer needs, evaluating coverage options, and assisting with renewals and remarketing as needed. Prepare submissions and terminations with carriers. Enter and update information in the agency management system, Epic/Applied. Utilization of our benefits administration platform, Employee Navigator, for the initial set up and renewal of groups. Ensure all renewals and requests for changes, endorsements, audits, etc., are properly implemented and comply with company requirements. Perform other duties as assigned, including administrative tasks such as receptionist and mail duties. Present a professional and business appearance. May be required to drive to pick up or drop off mail at the US Post Office. Attend seminars for education/training as needed to ensure job skills meet technical and business demands. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Basic familiarity with computers and structured office environments. Some familiarity with insurance (benefits) is helpful; through technical knowledge of employee benefits market preferred. Outstanding oral and written communication skills. Good analytical and interpersonal skills; good collaboration skills. Ability to follow instructions and adhere to prescribed routines and practices. Ability to perform duties independently and carry out assignments to completion while operating from established directions and instructions within agency and insurance laws. Possess or pass the requirement to be a licensed Life & Health insurance producer. Continuing education/training as required by applicable statutes and regulations.
Qualifications Education:
High school graduate required; Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience:
Significant related experience preferred.
Specialized Skills, Knowledge or Licensure:
Possess or pass the requirement to be a licensed Life & Health insurance producer.
Continuing Education/Training:
as required by applicable statutes and regulations.
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
