Job Description

Lunch Secretary, Elementary Please provide: Cover Letter Resume Three Letters of Recommendation This position is for approximately 22 hours per week, Monday through Friday Position Overview The Lunch Secretary, Elementary provides clerical and administrative support for the school lunch program and school office. This position maintains financial records for meal accounts, assists students and families with lunch program services, responds to inquiries, and supports daily school office operations. Lunch Secretary, Elementary Key Responsibilities Answer telephone calls, screen calls, and respond to inquiries. Assist parents and guardians with free and reduced lunch applications, payments, and account questions. Collect payments for meals and snacks and maintain financial records. Compile data and reports related to lunch program operations. Greet students, parents, and visitors and direct individuals according to building security procedures. Maintain manual and electronic records, including account balances, deposits, attendance records, and delinquent accounts. Participate in department meetings and required trainings. Perform other related duties as assigned. Job Requirements - Minimum Qualifications Skills Operating office equipment and administrative software Preparing and maintaining accurate records Managing multiple clerical tasks simultaneously Knowledge Business telephone etiquette Basic math and financial recordkeeping procedures Office procedures and documentation practices Abilities Communicate effectively with diverse individuals Maintain confidentiality of financial and student information Organize work tasks and meet deadlines Work effectively with frequent interruptions Responsibility Works under limited supervision using established procedures while coordinating lunch program administrative support. Work Environment Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Experience Job-related experience required. Education High school diploma or equivalent. Required Testing None specified. Certificates and Licenses CPR / First Aid Certificate Continuing Education / Training District required training annually Maintains certificates and/or licenses Clearances Mandated Reporter Training Criminal Background / Fingerprinting Check Reporting Relationship Reports to the assigned supervisor.
