Administrative Assistant/Health Room Aide

Job Description

The Twin Lakes #4 School District is seeking a caring and dependable Administrative Assistant and Health Aide to support students, teachers, and families in our 4K-8, single-school district. This is a part time position, offering approximately 27 hours per week. The Administrative Assistant and Health Room Aide ensures the smooth daily operation of the school and business offices, providing vital administrative, clerical, and health room support. Serving as a primary point of contact for the school, this position requires high professional standards, strict confidentiality, proactive problem-solving, and a welcoming presence for students, staff, families, and community members.
Key Responsibilities:
Data & Systems Management:
Input, monitor, and maintain student information across state data reporting systems and student management software (Skyward), including attendance, registration, special education, and busing schedules.
Front Office Operations:
Serve as the first point of contact by greeting visitors, answering phone calls, responding to inquiries promptly, and maintaining a secure, welcoming office environment.
Health Office Support:
Assist the school nurse with daily student health visits, minor medical needs, recordkeeping, and Medicaid billing documentation.
School Communications & Operations:
Update the school website, online calendar, and electronic sign; assist with online and in-person registration; manage student fee collection; and attend required parent, registration, or Board meetings.
Logistics & Supplies:
Inventory, order, and organize office and instructional supplies; maintain office equipment (e.g., copiers, laminators).
Additional Duties:
Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the District Administrator.

Qualifications Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 3 years of administrative experience (5 years preferred); prior experience in a K-12 school setting highly preferred.

Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated discretion and commitment to student privacy and strict confidentiality. Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with high attention to detail. Warm, patient, and positive demeanor with a genuine passion for working around children. Ability to work collaboratively and adaptively within a team environment.
Pay:
$20.00 per hour Expected hours: 27.0 per week
