Responsibilities Assist delivery drivers with loading, unloading, and securing packages in box trucks or vans using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Help navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards to ensure timely deliveries. Support with safe lifting practices when moving heavy or bulky items, maintaining workplace safety at all times. Aid in verifying delivery addresses and preparing packages for delivery using mobile devices or route management tools. Collaborate with the team during warehouse operations, including material handling and inventory management, to ensure accurate order fulfillment. Provide excellent customer service by assisting with package drop-offs and answering basic questions about deliveries. Follow all safety protocols related to manual transmission vehicles, heavy lifting, and workplace weight handling guidelines. Requirements Previous experience in warehouse operations, delivery driving, or courier services is highly preferred. Valid experience operating box trucks, vans, or commercial trucks; familiarity with manual transmission is a plus. Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and moving items using appropriate equipment like pallet jacks. Knowledge of route driving and adherence to traffic laws and DOT regulations for commercial vehicle operation. Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude when interacting with clients during deliveries. Ability to work physically demanding shifts that involve lifting, moving, and manual handling of packages.
