Duties Safely load, unload, and organize packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Drive a box truck or personal vehicle along designated routes, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Deliver parcels to residential and commercial customers with professionalism, ensuring accurate and timely drop-offs. Use mobile devices to track deliveries, update route information, and communicate with dispatch teams effectively. Handle heavy lifting safely by following proper lifting practices during package loading and unloading processes. Maintain vehicle safety by conducting routine inspections, fueling, and ensuring compliance with all safety protocols including manual transmission operation if applicable. Assist with warehouse operations when needed, including inventory management and material handling using appropriate equipment like load & unload tools or pallet jacks. Qualifications Prior experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to operate commercial trucks or box trucks with manual transmission is preferred. Experience with personal vehicle delivery or driving in rural settings is advantageous. Strong knowledge of safe lifting practices, manual handling, and heavy lifting techniques. Familiarity with route driving, adhering to traffic laws, and DOT regulations ensures safe transportation practices. Excellent customer service skills to engage positively with community members during deliveries. Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or other warehouse tools safely. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) is a plus but not required for all roles.
