Join Bismarck State College's Buildings & Grounds team as a Mail Center Assistant! In this role, you'll play an important part in supporting campus operations by assisting with the processing and delivery of mail and packages across campus. Gain valuable workplace experience, develop customer service and organizational skills, and contribute to a team that helps keep BSC running smoothly every day. What You'll Do You will be responsible for assisting in the daily functions and operations of the campus mail center. The Mail Center Assistant will work closely with mail center staff to sort, process, and deliver incoming and outgoing mail, provide customer service, and maintain an organized workspace. Additional Responsibilities Sort and organize incoming mail and packages for delivery to campus departments and individuals Assist with mail and package delivery across campus as needed Greet and assist customers at the mail center, answering questions, and helping locate mail or packages Perform data entry to record incoming and outgoing shipments and maintain records Handle confidential information securely and in compliance with privacy policies Keep the work area clean and organized Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Strong attention to detail, organizational skils, and time management abilities Ability to work independently and handle interruptions Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (essential function) Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively with diverse personalities
Preferred:
Experience in a mailroom, warehouse, or customer service role Basic familiarity with shipping software and equipment
