Responsibilities Load and unload shipments using material handling equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners to ensure safe and efficient movement of goods Sort packages accurately according to destination, shipment type, or priority using warehouse management systems and manual processes Operate automatic inserting machines for mail processing and participate in shipment assembly tasks Perform data entry into warehouse management software to track inventory, shipment status, and package details Conduct routine inventory checks, filing, and documentation to maintain organized records of incoming and outgoing packages Assist with shipping & receiving activities, ensuring all items are properly labeled, documented, and stored securely Support outdoor work activities including yard inspections, fence checks, and yard audits as needed for security and safety compliance Use organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail in all handling procedures Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations through effective communication and teamwork Experience Previous experience working in a warehouse distribution environment is highly preferred Familiarity with warehouse operations including shipment sorting, materials handling, and shipping & receiving processes Hands-on experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts or RF scanners is advantageous; forklift certification is a plus Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and data entry accuracy Customer service orientation to support internal teams or external vendors when needed Outdoor work experience is beneficial for yard inspections or outdoor logistics activities Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual handling tasks regularly This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their skills in warehouse operations while contributing to a vital logistical network.
