Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Mail Carrier, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of mail and packages to residential, commercial, and industrial locations. This energetic position requires a proactive attitude, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to navigate routes efficiently. You will be responsible for handling various types of deliveries using personal or company-provided vehicles, adhering to safety standards, and maintaining positive interactions with customers along your route. Duties Safely operate a box truck or personal vehicle to deliver mail and packages across assigned routes. Load and unload parcels using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment as needed. Follow prescribed routes meticulously, adhering to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Ensure accurate delivery by verifying recipient information and obtaining signatures when required. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety checks to ensure optimal operation. Use mobile devices or handheld scanners to track deliveries, update statuses, and communicate with dispatch. Provide excellent customer service by addressing recipient inquiries professionally and courteously during deliveries. Qualifications Previous experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations is highly preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving or box trucks is advantageous. Ability to handle heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices; familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and weight handling in the workplace ensures safe and compliant deliveries. Experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks is beneficial. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage route schedules efficiently. Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members effectively.
