This vital role combines exceptional customer service with administrative expertise, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for clients while supporting the clinical team. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be instrumental in managing appointments, handling medical records, and facilitating communication between clients and veterinary staff. Your dedication to animal care and client satisfaction will help create a positive environment that promotes pet health and well-being. Responsibilities Greet clients warmly, answer phone calls promptly, and schedule appointments efficiently using Avimark veterinary software. Manage medical records, update patient information, and collect past medical history. Assist with front desk duties including billing, invoicing, and processing payments while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. Support kennel operations by coordinating pet drop-offs and pick-ups. Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet care instructions, upcoming procedures, or follow-up appointments. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area. Requirements Prior experience in a veterinary clinic or animal handling environment is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and medical-surgical procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and veterinary software systems for scheduling and recordkeeping. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients from diverse backgrounds.
