Job Description

Overview We are seeking a professional, friendly, organized, and dependable Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our participants, families, visitors, and community partners. Receptionist — Adult Day Care Center Alabama Adult Day Care Pelham, AlabamaFull-Time | Monday-Friday About Us Alabama Adult Day Care is a welcoming adult day care center focused on providing compassionate care, meaningful activities, social connection, nutritious meals, and a safe environment for the adults and families we serve.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
Applicants MUST have a minimum of 2 years of verifiable professional experience in receptionist, administrative, medical office, healthcare, customer service, or a related professional position. Two years of verifiable experience is required. Applicants who do not meet this requirement will not be considered. Position Summary The Receptionist is responsible for creating a warm and professional first impression while supporting the daily administrative operations of the center. The ideal candidate is highly organized, personable, dependable, and comfortable working in a healthcare or adult-care environment. Responsibilities Greet participants, families, visitors, and vendors warmly and professionally Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls Provide general information about the center and its services Assist families with questions and direct them to the appropriate staff member Assist with participant sign-in and sign-out procedures Maintain accurate attendance and administrative records Assist with scheduling and coordinating appointments and meetings Receive and distribute mail and deliveries Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area Assist with admissions and enrollment paperwork Communicate professionally with families, referral partners, and staff Maintain confidentiality of participant and family information Assist management with administrative tasks Assist with special events and center activities when needed Monitor the front entrance and follow visitor procedures Follow all company policies and safety procedures Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of verifiable professional experience Experience in reception, administration, healthcare, medical office, customer service, or a related field High school diploma or equivalent preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Professional appearance and demeanor Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent customer-service skills Dependable and punctual Basic computer proficiency Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to work effectively in a team environment Successful completion of required background and employment verification Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is: Friendly Professional Organized Dependable Compassionate Personable Detail-Oriented You should enjoy working with people and understand the importance of providing families and participants with a positive experience from the moment they walk through our doors.
Schedule Monday-Friday Regular center hours:
