Duties Greet clients warmly upon arrival, providing excellent customer service and addressing their needs with professionalism and enthusiasm Schedule appointments efficiently using veterinary software, ensuring optimal flow throughout the day Manage medical collections accurately in accordance with Veterinary administrative support protocols and regulatory requirements such as DEA and USDA regulations Handle phone inquiries, providing clear information about services, procedures, and clinic policies Assist with animal restraint during examinations or treatments, applying proper animal husbandry techniques to ensure safety for pets and staff Maintain detailed records of client interactions, medical histories, and laboratory results while adhering to aseptic techniques Support veterinary staff with front desk operations including filing, data entry in veterinary software, and managing laboratory samples Skills Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, medical-surgical procedures, and companion animal medicine Experience with veterinary software systems for scheduling, record keeping, and laboratory data management Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools for documentation and correspondence Ability to handle various animals safely using proper restraint techniques; experience with dog handling and animal restraint is preferred Familiarity with laboratory procedures, pet grooming, dog training, pet care, and animal husbandry enhances your ability to support clinical operations Knowledge of drug enforcement regulations (DEA) and USDA regulations relevant to veterinary practice is a plus Experience working in a veterinary clinic environment or with equine patients demonstrates your understanding of diverse animal care needs Join us as a Veterinary Receptionist where your enthusiasm meets your expertise in animal care!
