Garfield Health Center located in the San Gabriel Valley is seeking a full time Bilingual Chinese-speaking (Mandarin or Cantonese) Front Office Receptionist at our Monterey Park clinic. Individual must possess a strong work ethic background and have a great positive attitude. Primary/Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries. Check Sign-In and Appointment Sheet Schedule/ Confirm Appointments Answering Phones/ Making Phone Calls Prep Patient Files Send Referrals based on Doctor's Report Obtain all Reports/Documents necessary for Doctor's Evaluation Assist with Amending Documents as indicated by the Doctor Assist with Initial Histories and History Reviews Assist with the Request for Authorization Process Verify Insurance Information/ Coverage/ Eligibility Collect Co-Pay/Payment Maintain Case Management Bring Patients into Rooms Assist Doctors with Language Interpretation Scanning/ Extracting Filing Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies. Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information. Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes. Travel to other GHC's Clinics within a 3-mile radius if coverage is needed Required language:
