This is an excellent opportunity for someone with dental office front desk experience who is looking for more than a traditional receptionist position. The right candidate will have the opportunity to grow into an Office Manager role as they demonstrate leadership, reliability, and a strong understanding of dental office operations. About the Role As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming, professional, and organized patient experience. You will help coordinate the daily flow of the practice while managing patient communication, scheduling, insurance, payments, records, and administrative responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Welcome patients warmly and provide a professional, positive experience from check-in through check-out. Answer and manage incoming phone calls and respond to patient requests and questions. Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments and recalls according to office protocols. Monitor the daily schedule and help keep appointments running efficiently and on time. Proactively fill cancellations and no-shows. Register new patients and complete all required forms and documentation. Verify and update patient information and maintain accurate electronic records. Assist patients with understanding office procedures, policies, and administrative requirements. Assist with teledentistry efforts and related patient coordination. Maintain patient records in accordance with privacy and security requirements. Prepare patient charts and information for upcoming appointments. Coordinate referrals to outside medical or dental specialists. Coordinate and appropriately dispatch laboratory cases and lab work. Collect and receipt patient payments at the time of treatment. Explain available financial and treatment-plan payment options to patients. Arrange payment schedules when appropriate. Prepare and mail patient billing statements. Prepare dental insurance claim forms and supporting documentation. Assist with insurance-related correspondence and information requests. Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail. Monitor and maintain front-office and dental office supply inventory. Keep patient education materials current and organized. Maintain a clean, professional, and welcoming reception area. Protect patient privacy and maintain strict confidentiality at all times. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have: Previous dental office front desk experience Strong knowledge of dental office workflow and patient scheduling Excellent communication and customer-service skills A professional, friendly, and confident demeanor Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask in a busy dental office environment Experience with dental insurance, claims, and patient billing Comfort discussing treatment costs and financial arrangements with patients Ability to work effectively as part of a team Dependability, professionalism, and a positive attitude Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus A Career Path — Not Just a Job We are particularly interested in candidates who want to grow with the practice .
