Veterinary Receptionist
Job Description
Job Summary We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people and pets, communicates well, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced veterinary hospital environment. The Veterinary Receptionist is responsible for providing excellent client service while supporting the daily operations of the hospital. Responsibilities include greeting and checking in clients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, processing payments, communicating with clients regarding their pets' care, maintaining accurate records, and assisting the veterinary team with administrative tasks. The right candidate should be able to multitask, stay organized during busy periods, work well as part of a team, and remain professional and compassionate when handling stressful situations. Veterinary experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet clients and patients in a friendly and professional manner Answer phones and respond to client questions Schedule appointments and manage the daily appointment flow Check clients in and out and process payments accurately Communicate with clients regarding appointments, medications, and veterinary services Maintain accurate patient and client records Assist with prescription refill requests and other client needs Communicate effectively with veterinarians and veterinary staff Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area Handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail Provide compassionate and professional customer service
Qualifications:
Previous veterinary, medical, customer service, or receptionist experience preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn Comfortable working around dogs and cats Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment Team-oriented attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed Basic computer skills and ability to learn veterinary practice management software
•Need to be available alternative Saturdays
•Willing to work between both of our locations is a plus

From $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 35.0 per week
