Position Overview:

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and reliable Receptionist to join our team at Paradise Pet Salon. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for our clients and ensuring a smooth workflow for our grooming and boarding services. The ideal candidate loves dogs, communicates clearly, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. As a smaller facility, we all work together—teamwork and flexibility are a must.

Responsibilities:

Greet clients and provide excellent customer service at check-in and check-out Intake dogs during drop-off, ensuring accurate notes and instructions are recorded Answer phones promptly and professionally Schedule and manage appointments for grooming and boarding services Assist with bringing dogs to and from the grooming and kennel areas Help with potty breaks, cleaning, and general kennel support as needed Maintain a clean and tidy reception area, including cleaning any accidents Use our booking system efficiently for scheduling, data entry, and client records Practice strong phone etiquette and clear communication at all times Support the grooming team with administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:

Knowledge of dog breeds Strong spelling and writing skills Experience answering phones and booking appointments preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong time management and multitasking abilities Ability to relate to clients and make them feel comfortable Basic computer and data entry skills Ability to lift 20+ lbs Willingness to help in the kennel as needed, including bringing dogs up/back, potty breaks, and cleaning Bilingual is not required but is a plus
