Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for clients and their pets, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary practice. This role requires a strong understanding of veterinary terminology and animal care, as well as the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Duties Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. Handle medical collections and process payments accurately. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans. Assist veterinarians and technicians with animal handling and restraint during examinations. Provide information to clients regarding pet care, treatments, and procedures. Manage phone calls, emails, and inquiries with professionalism and courtesy. Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth clinic operations. Qualifications Must have experience as Veterinary Receptionist and has dynamic personality. Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred. Knowledge of veterinary terminology and medical procedures is essential. Familiarity with animal anatomy, husbandry, and critical care practices is advantageous. Experience in kennel management or dog training is a plus. Proficiency in handling various animals safely and humanely. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Aseptic technique knowledge and laboratory experience are beneficial for assisting with procedures. Passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing excellent pet care.
