Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
Register patients and verify demographic, insurance, and billing information.
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
Maintain patient records and ensure accurate data entry into electronic medical records (EMR).
Collect copayments and process patient payments according to established procedures.
Coordinate with clinical staff regarding patient flow and scheduling needs.
Verify insurance eligibility and obtain required authorizations when applicable.
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
Assist with general office duties including scanning, filing, faxing, and correspondence.
Support a positive patient experience by addressing questions and concerns promptly. Qualifications Required
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of 1 year of receptionist, customer service, or administrative
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office equipment.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Preferred
Previous experience in a medical office, ambulatory surgery center, gastroenterology practice, or endoscopy center.
Experience with EMR systems and medical scheduling software.
