You'll support patients throughout their visit by assisting with registration, insurance verification, scheduling, payment collection, check-out, and other front desk needs. The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a busy healthcare environment. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, professionalism, accuracy, and a genuine commitment to putting patients first. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information Verify insurance eligibility and benefits Collect copays, deductibles, outstanding balances, and other patient payments Schedule follow-up appointments accurately and efficiently Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions and requests Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements Collaborate effectively with physicians, clinical staff, and other departments Deliver exceptional customer service and help create a positive patient experience
Requirements:
Required High School Diploma or GED Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to work effectively in a team environment High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Professional, dependable, and patient-focused attitude Preferred Customer service experience in a healthcare or medical office setting Experience with insurance verification, patient registration, scheduling, or payment collection Healthcare experience isn't required. We're willing to train the right candidate who brings a strong customer service mindset, attention to detail, and a desire to learn.
