Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for clients and their pets, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks. This role requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Veterinary Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. We have three thriving Veterinary clinic's: Aurora Veterinary Clinic, Mantua Veterinary Clinic and Streetsboro Veterinary Center all located in a 15 minute distance from each location. Responsibilities Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. Handle medical collections and process payments accurately. Maintain accurate patient records and manage client files with confidentiality. Educate clients on veterinary terminology, animal husbandry, and basic pet care practices. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room. Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing them to appropriate staff members. Qualifications Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred but not required. Knowledge of veterinary terminology is highly desirable. Strong skills in medical collection processes are beneficial. Proficiency in using office equipment and software for scheduling and record management. Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards clients and their pets. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in all tasks.
