Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Front Desk Receptionist/Scheduling Specialist in the Long-Term Care (LTC) and Skilled Nursing setting! In this vital role, you will be the welcoming face of our facility, ensuring smooth family visits, staff scheduling, and efficient administrative support. Your energetic and organized approach will help create a positive experience for patients, families, and staff alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your office experience, technical skills, and passion for long term care service in a fast-paced healthcare/rehab environment committed to quality care and clinical excellence. Duties Greet patients, visitors, and staff with professionalism and warmth, maintaining excellent phone etiquette and customer service standards Manage patient/staffing scheduling Verify patient insurance coverage, including Medicare and health insurance plans, ensuring accurate documentation review and data entry Maintain office supplies, organize files, and ensure the front desk area remains welcoming and organized at all times Use technology to manage staff changes, prevent overtime, create shifts and communicate with team members Requirements Strong Computer Skills Required Proven experience in a medical office setting with strong clerical skills including filing, typing (10-key), and office management Google Workspace knowledge needed Knowledge health information management practices, and confidentiality policies in compliance with HIPAA regulations Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for administrative tasks; ability to learn new software quickly Prior clinic or healthcare facility experience involving medical scheduling, medical billing or coding is highly desirable Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism Proficiency with relevant technology and software Join us in delivering compassionate care through efficient administrative support!
