Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. This role is vital in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and possess strong communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and veterinary staff. Duties Greet clients and their pets warmly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services offered. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is up-to-date. Process payments and handle billing inquiries professionally. Assist in managing inventory of supplies and medications. Provide basic information on pet care, including vaccination schedules and wellness tips. Collaborate with veterinary staff to ensure a seamless experience for clients and their pets. Skills The successful candidate will ideally possess the following skills: Knowledge of Veterinary terminology to communicate effectively with clients and staff. Experience in Animal husbandry to provide informed care advice. Proficiency in Pet care practices, ensuring the well-being of animals during visits. Familiarity with Animal anatomy knowledge for accurate record keeping and client education. Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment Attention to detail with high acuity Comfortable with technology and computer skills Ability to sit, stand, walk for entire shift Ability to comfortably lift 50 lbs Schedule 7:30 am - 4:00 pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (32 hrs/week). Off most Wednesdays and all weekends. Cross-training in clinical setting also an option for a fitting candidate (not required). Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
