Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a professional and dependable Part Time Receptionist for an on-site financial services office in Kennewick, WA. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys providing excellent customer service, staying organized, and creating a welcoming first impression for clients and visitors. As the first point of contact for the office, the Part Time Receptionist will support front desk operations, phone coverage, scheduling assistance, mail handling, and general administrative tasks. This opportunity offers a consistent weekday schedule, a professional office environment, and the potential for the assignment to extend or convert to a full-time role. Candidates who are reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling confidential information will be well positioned for success. Key Responsibilities
  • Greet clients and visitors in a courteous, professional manner and maintain a welcoming reception area.
  • Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls promptly and accurately.
  • Manage front desk procedures, visitor sign-ins, appointment scheduling, and calendar requests as needed.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute mail, deliveries, and office documents.
  • Assist with basic administrative support, including filing, data entry, document preparation, and office organization.
  • Handle sensitive client and business information with confidentiality and discretion. Compensation and Benefits
  • Hourly rate: $20.28 per hour.
  • Schedule:
    Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
  • Job type: Contract/Temporary.
  • Duration:
    3 months, with expected extension and possible conversion to full-time employment.
  • Work location: On site at 8203 W Quinault Ave # A, Kennewick, WA 99336.
  • Work environment: Professional office setting with seated desk work and occasional standing or walking. Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Provide front desk reception support for a professional financial services office.
  • Answer phones, greet visitors, manage mail, and support daily office operations.
  • Assist with scheduling, data entry, filing, and document preparation.
  • Maintain confidentiality while supporting client-facing administrative tasks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 6 months or more of receptionist, front desk, or administrative experience preferred.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, reliability, and punctuality.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a professional office environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and discreetly. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in financial services, banking, or another professional office environment.
  • Previous experience supporting front desk operations, switchboard, reception, or administrative office functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to stay organized, remain calm under pressure, and support a positive client experience.
