Job Overview Baha Auto Midlothian is looking for an experienced and detail oriented Automotive Title Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous dealership experience processing vehicle titles, registrations, license plates, and related paperwork. This position requires excellent organization, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple deals while ensuring all documents are processed correctly and on time. Previous automotive dealership title experience is strongly preferred. Responsibilities Process vehicle titles and registrations accurately and efficiently Prepare and submit title and registration paperwork Process new plates, plate transfers, and registration transactions Handle Illinois and out of state title paperwork Process transactions through CVR Verify customer, vehicle, lienholder, and deal information for accuracy Track incoming and outgoing titles Follow up on missing titles and outstanding documentation Process lienholder information and lien releases Review deal jackets to ensure required title documents are complete Maintain organized title records and files Correct title or registration issues when necessary Communicate with customers, lenders, auctions, government agencies, and dealership staff regarding title issues Work closely with the sales, finance, accounting, and management teams Ensure dealership paperwork complies with applicable title and registration requirements Qualifications Previous automotive dealership title clerk experience preferred Experience with Illinois title and registration processing CVR experience strongly preferred Knowledge of vehicle titles, registrations, liens, and license plate transactions Experience handling out of state transactions is a plus Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and time management skills Comfortable handling multiple title transactions simultaneously Strong computer and data entry skills Ability to identify paperwork errors before documents are submitted Dependable and able to work independently Professional communication skills What We're Looking For We need someone who understands how important accurate and timely title processing is to a dealership.
