This Certified Arborist Tree Climber position is responsible for pruning and tree removals on both residential, commercial, and municipal properties. Based in Maple Plain, MN, this organization is a highly established, prestigious tree care service serving the Minneapolis west metro area. Compensation & Benefits Hourly pay ranging from $30.00 to $49.00 based on experience. Time and a half pay for hours worked over 40 hours per week. Guaranteed year-round full-time employment. Monday-Friday schedule with operations typically ending at noon on Fridays. $8,000 sign-on bonus upon completion of one year of employment. $500 referral bonus payable after 90 days of a referred employee's tenure. Responsibilities Execute tree trimming and removals utilizing safety belts, saddles, climbing lines, or bucket trucks. Operate and conduct basic maintenance on equipment including chainsaws, hand-powered saws, and articulating skid steers. Survey and evaluate job sites to ensure the work area is safe from hazards such as powerlines and utilities. Lower removed branches and trees safely to the ground using rigging lines. Requirements Must hold an active Arborist Certification. Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. At least one full year of rope and saddle climbing experience, including DRT and SRT. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds to shoulder height and comfortably climb at least 40 feet up a tree. Must not be afraid of heights and must pass a pre-employment drug screen. Possess strong mechanical inclination and a safety-conscious, team-oriented mindset.
