We are an established plant company seeking a talented, self-motivated horticulture professional who is passionate about plants and interested in a long-term career in interior landscaping. This position is approximately 30 hours per week with some schedule flexibility. Our horticulturists care for distinctive interior landscapes for corporate clients, working with a diverse plant palette that includes tropical foliage, palms, orchids, and specialty plants. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced horticulturist who wants to expand their horticultural knowledge and explore a new area of the profession. You will build on your existing background while learning the science behind our proven approach to professional interior landscaping. Interior horticulture presents a unique set of challenges, requiring careful observation and an understanding of how light, water, temperature, airflow, and the built environment influence plant health and performance.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Travel to client properties using a company vehicle and independently service an assigned client route. Evaluate growing conditions and plant health, diagnose plant problems, and determine appropriate care based on environmental factors and individual plant requirements. Perform horticultural care, including watering, pruning, grooming, fertilization, pest management, and plant replacement as needed. Maintain healthy, attractive interior landscapes to consistently high horticultural standards. Develop your expertise in the science and specialized techniques of professional interior horticulture. Build positive relationships with clients while providing knowledgeable, professional service.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 3 years of professional horticulture experience or a combination of relevant horticultural education and hands-on experience. Relevant backgrounds may include horticulture, botany, agronomy, plant nurseries, garden centers, greenhouse production, ornamental horticulture, landscape maintenance, or related plant-care fields. Strong working knowledge of ornamental plants and their care. Excellent attention to detail. Self-motivated, dependable, organized, and capable of working independently. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Proficiency in spoken and written English. Ability to perform an active, hands-on position requiring regular walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
