As a Regenerative Farm Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of a farm that emphasizes soil health, biodiversity, and animal welfare. Duties Assist with the operation and maintenance of farm machinery, including tractors, equipment repair, welding, and irrigation systems to ensure smooth daily activities. Perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting, planting, harvesting, and future hoop house/greenhouse work to support crop growth and farm productivity. Maintain safety standards in all production activities by following proper procedures for equipment use and handling hazardous materials. Contribute to soil health initiatives by participating in composting, cover cropping, and other practices aligned with regenerative principles. Assist with general farm maintenance including hand tool use, equipment upkeep, minor repairs, and troubleshooting mechanical issues with farm machinery. Support irrigation systems and horticultural activities to optimize water use and plant growth in outdoor fields and future hoop house/greenhouses. Qualifications Prior experience in farming would be helpful, but a willingness to learn in a new agriculture environment Desire to participate in research and development for regenerative practices Ability to operate heavy equipment such as agricultural tractors, forklifts, or other machinery safely and efficiently; is a plus. Strong outdoor work experience with physical stamina for manual handling tasks like heavy lifting and long hours of outdoor activity. Familiarity with safety standards in agricultural production environments; knowledge of irrigation systems and horticulture practices is advantageous.
