Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Calf Feeder to join our farm team. This role involves caring for young calves through regular feeding and maintaining a clean, safe environment in the barn. The ideal candidate will have outdoor work experience, farm experience, and a strong understanding of livestock handling and management. This position offers an opportunity to work in a hands-on agricultural setting, supporting the health and growth of our calves. Responsibilities We feed calves twice daily at scheduled times, typically around 4 am and 3 pm, with each feeding session lasting approximately three hours. Right now wr are hiring just for the 4am shift. And by the end of Jan/Feb we will need to hire another person for 3pm shift. Ensure calves are fed properly and monitor their health during feeding times. Perform chores in the robot barn after calf feeding, including raking out stalls to remove manure and wet spots to maintain cleanliness. Wash robot rooms to ensure sanitation standards are met. Assist with livestock handling tasks as needed, supporting overall calf management and care. Operate agricultural tractors and equipment safely when required for barn chores or farm maintenance. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to farm safety protocols. Requirements Previous outdoor work experience is preferred. Farm experience, particularly with livestock care, is highly desirable. Knowledge of livestock handling techniques is essential. Experience operating agricultural tractors or similar machinery is a plus. Familiarity with farm animal care practices and livestock management is important. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work efficiently in various weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to animal welfare.
