Plantation Preserve Golf Maintenance, located in beautiful Fort Lauderdale, FL, is looking for an experienced professional to join our team. If you have 3 years of experience and enjoy working in a dynamic outdoor environment, this might be the perfect opportunity for you! About the Role As a Golf Course Irrigation Technician, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the health and playability of our championship-level course. Working closely with the superintendent, you'll oversee the installation, monitoring, and repair of complex irrigation and drainage systems. From troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic issues to adjusting watering schedules based on weather data, you'll ensure our turf remains in top condition year-round.

Key Responsibilities System Maintenance:

Conduct daily inspections of sprinkler heads, valves, pumps, and filters to identify and address leaks or blockages.

Repairs:

Diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic failures, including replacing broken sprinkler heads and repairing mainlines.

Water Management:

Program and adjust irrigation controllers based on weather station data, soil moisture levels, and turf conditions.

Record Keeping:

Maintain detailed logs of water usage, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory.

Seasonal Adjustments:

Perform spring start-ups, system testing, and winterization/blowout procedures to protect the system from seasonal damage.

Course Upgrades:

Assist in installing new or retrofitted system components to enhance water conservation and course efficiency. What We're Looking For To thrive in this role, you'll need:

• At least 3 years of experience in irrigation system maintenance and repair.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems related to irrigation.
