Key Responsibilities System Maintenance:
Conduct daily inspections of sprinkler heads, valves, pumps, and filters to identify and address leaks or blockages.Repairs:
Diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic failures, including replacing broken sprinkler heads and repairing mainlines.Water Management:
Program and adjust irrigation controllers based on weather station data, soil moisture levels, and turf conditions.Record Keeping:
Maintain detailed logs of water usage, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory.Seasonal Adjustments:
Perform spring start-ups, system testing, and winterization/blowout procedures to protect the system from seasonal damage.Course Upgrades:
Assist in installing new or retrofitted system components to enhance water conservation and course efficiency. What We're Looking For To thrive in this role, you'll need:- At least 3 years of experience in irrigation system maintenance and repair.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems related to irrigation.
- Familiarity with programming and adjusting irrigation controllers based on weather and soil data.
- Attention to detail, especially when it comes to record-keeping and preventative maintenance.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to work closely with a team.
