Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Farm Hand to join our team and support the daily operations of our orchard and garden spaces. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic setting, contributing to garden care, equipment maintenance, and sustainable farming practices. The ideal candidate will be passionate about agriculture, possess hands-on experience with farming, and enjoy working in a physically active environment. Responsibilities Identifying existing plants, replacing dead ones, and working in current orchard Operate agricultural machinery such as tractors and irrigation systems safely and efficiently Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on farm equipment using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical knowledge Assist with planting, growing, harvesting crops, horticulture activities, greenhouse management, and irrigation systems Handle manual tasks involving heavy lifting, manual handling, and equipment setup or breakdown Supervise or assist with livestock handling activities ensuring animal safety and welfare (once livestock has been added to the barn) Maintain safety standards in all production processes and ensure compliance with health regulations Qualifications Proven experience in farming or agricultural environments with a strong understanding of farming practices Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as tractors, forklifts, and farm machinery Mechanical skills related to equipment repair, maintenance, and MRO (maintenance, repair & operations) tasks Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely including heavy lifting and outdoor work in various weather conditions Familiarity with irrigation systems, horticulture practices, greenhouse operations, and power tools Supervising experience is preferred but not required; a proactive attitude towards safety standards is essential Background in construction or carpentry strongly preferred Basic math skills for measurements and record keeping Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to sustainable farming practices while making a positive impact on education through outdoor learning experiences!
Pay:
$14.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 20.0 per week
