Job Description

ABOUT THE POSITION
The Area Agronomy Operations Manager is responsible for the overall profitability and operation of the assigned area s locations and for business development with that area s customer base. A description of the duties includes: Manages the overall agronomy operations of the area s locations in accordance with the Company policies and procedures; Responsible for generating sales and increasing profits at the locations; Manages location s products and services including stocking, inventory (inventory control), reconciling inventory, merchandising, advertising, billing and receipt of payment; Submits accurate location reports in a timely manner; Provides leadership, training and supervision to the locations employees; Ensures maintenance, organization and cleanliness of department buildings, equipment and grounds; Responsible for emergency coordination in accordance with company policy and procedure, in the event of an accident or disaster; Represents the Company at local community activities as needed; Prepares and presents safety meetings for locations; Provides excellent customer service by managing difficult or emotional situations; responding promptly to customer needs, resolving questions, complaints and concerns immediately and meeting commitments; Effectively communicates by verbal and written means with customers, employees and management; Maintains and promotes safety awareness; follows safety policies, procedures and reporting requirements; Present a clean and professional appearance; Employee is required to perform all other duties as directed by the supervisor.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor s degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and training. Basic computer operation skills. Supervisory experience preferred. Agriculture industry and sales experience required; Valid driver's license required; Commercial driver's license preferred (or ability to obtain). Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds.
