COLLECTION SYSTEM WORKER I
Salary Collection System Worker I $7,033 - $8,549 Monthly $40.58 - $49.32 Hourly 9/80 Work Schedule Plus an

Benefits Package Deadline to apply: Monday, October 19, 2026 12:00 PM The Novato Sanitary District is seeking a highly motivated, innovative, and results-oriented professional to join its team as a Collection System Worker I. The Collection System Worker I performs a full array of duties, including the maintenance of wastewater collection and reclamation systems, including inspection, cleaning, maintenance, and repairs on lines, pump stations, and treatment facilities. The selected candidate will demonstrate a full understanding of all applicable policies, procedures, and work methods associated with assigned duties; perform other related duties as required.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will: Demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace safety and consistently apply appropriate safety practices. Maintain high ethical and professional standards and take pride in delivering quality work. Be customer-focused and service-oriented, with a strong understanding of public service and a commitment to responding effectively to emergencies and maintenance needs. Quickly establish trust and credibility with others and address questions, concerns, and issues professionally and respectfully. Be eager to learn and continuously develop technical knowledge and skills. Take initiative, remain organized, and ensure assignments are completed accurately and on schedule. Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Live within a thirty-minute driving radius from the Treatment Plant for responding to after-hours call-outs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be: Collection Systems Worker I Some basic work experience in general maintenance operations and a high school diploma or equivalent.
License/Certificate:

Other Qualifications:
Live within a thirty-minute driving radius from the Treatment Plant for responding to after-hours call-outs if required. Eligibility to work in the United States under appropriate federal regulations.
SELECTION PROCESS
