Job Description
THE POSITION

As an Equipment Operator B with the Department of Conservation & Natural Resources (DCNR), you will have the exciting opportunity to complete essential conservation projects throughout the Tiadaghton Forest District. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This role focuses on protecting forest resources and maintaining Tiadaghton Forest District facilities through skilled equipment operation and manual work. Primary responsibilities will involve road upkeep, vegetation management, construction tasks, and forest safety. As an Equipment Operator B, you will perform the following duties:
Grade Roads:
Operate graders to level earthen and stone roads to required standards
Move Materials:
Use loaders, bulldozers, and tractors to move earth, stone, and vegetation
Prepare Openings:
Pull agricultural equipment to establish or maintain herbaceous openings
Maintain Facilities:
Perform construction and repair tasks on buildings, roads, trails, and bridges
Operate Trucks:
Drive dump trucks, pick-ups, and equipment haulers to transport materials
Perform Maintenance:
Complete preventative maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles and equipment Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year of experience as an Equipment Operator A; or Two years of experience in the operation of heavy construction and specialized maintenance equipment used at this level with a gross vehicle weight of 32,001 pounds or more; or Any equivalent combination of experience or training.
Special Requirement:
This position requires possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license.
Condition of Employment:
This position requires possession of a Class A commercial driver's license (CDL).
