Full Job Description Job Title:
Ride Operator Job Summary:
Ride Operators are responsible for safely operating rides they have been trained on in accordance with park policy.
Job Responsibilities:
Report to work 30 minutes before the park opens in the correct uniform, name badge and properly groomed. Display a positive, cooperative attitude toward coworkers and guests. Only operate rides you have been trained to operate. Thoroughly inspect a ride and run a full, unloaded cycle before accepting passengers. Follow all height regulations (check heights of all younger guests), age and other special rules. Ensure all guests riding the ride have their hand stamp, armband or the correct number of tickets. Assist in performing daily pre-opening inspection of your ride. Help maintain accurate ride inspection records as instructed. Maintain a clean work area. Performs other related duties as required.
Education/Experience:
Attending high school. High school diploma or GED is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25lbs. consistently. Physical exertion such as frequent bending, twisting, stretching, stooping and reaching overhead. Standing and walking for long periods on surfaces such as uneven surfaces and hard flooring. Varying work hours extending up to twelve (12) hour workdays under some circumstances. Working outdoors in all weather conditions in a wide range of temperatures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Display a willingness to learn. Ability to establish priorities, works independently, and proceeds with objectives without supervision. Good communication skills.
Safety:
Promote and practice safe work practices at all times. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed. Adhere to company, state and federal safety standards and regulations.
