Currency Destruction Technician Western Currency Facility (WCF), Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP)

T4 - High Public Trust Duties and Responsibilities Duties include the following: Placing unfit currency notes/sheets on a conveyor belt or into a gondola and placing unfit plates into a shredding machine.

Note:

These are physically demanding tasks that require an individual capable of performing in such an environment for considerable lengths of time. Successfully complete Government-provided training (classroom, online, and hand-on) and perform the tasks as taught for: WCF Destruction Procedures Other related training, e.g. IT Security Awareness, Operations Security, Safety and Environmental Health, Security Procedures Obey, abide by and comply with all federal, state and local environmental, health and safety regulations, as applicable to the work performed and the location of the work. Comply with the requirements and procedures established through the BEP WCF Environmental Management System (EMS). Overtime is possible at the Government's direction on evenings, weekends, or holidays. Knowledge and Qualifications Mail screening duties require lifting items of a weight not to exceed 50 pounds to a height of four feet so they may be loaded into a bin or placed in a screening machine. Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in the administrative or security field. Be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Demonstrated history of not being a potential threat to the health, safety, security, general well-being, or operational mission of the facility. Present a neat and clean appearance and have a history of superior personal and professional conduct. Intermediate level computer skills that possess experience to work with multiple worksheets, filter data and use integration functions. Hearing protection and steel toed shoes are required in performance of the destruction detail. Possess a valid U.S. driver's license.
