Full Job Description Irrigation Manager Compensation:

$50,000-$60,000 annually plus commission opportunities Lead Irrigation Operations with DreamLawn DreamLawn is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Irrigation Manager to lead our irrigation team and help drive service excellence across the Kansas City Metro area. This role is ideal for a highly skilled irrigation professional who enjoys leading people, solving technical challenges, improving operational performance, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. As the Irrigation Manager, you will oversee daily irrigation operations, coach and support Irrigation Specialists, coordinate scheduling and field execution, and ensure services are performed safely, efficiently, and profitably. You will serve as the critical link between departmental strategy and field execution, helping your team deliver outstanding results while supporting the continued growth of DreamLawn's irrigation division. What You'll Do Lead daily irrigation operations, including route planning, workload balancing, and schedule adjustments Conduct daily team meetings to communicate priorities, expectations, and safety requirements Support Irrigation Specialists with troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs, installations, and customer concerns Monitor production, labor utilization, service quality, and documentation accuracy Perform field inspections and quality-control reviews to ensure company standards are met Coach, train, and develop Irrigation Specialists and seasonal team members Review service notes, repair recommendations, and work orders for accuracy and completeness Coordinate inventory, equipment, and material needs to support daily operations Assist with irrigation repair estimates and installation planning Resolve routine customer issues while escalating larger concerns as needed Support seasonal irrigation services including activations, inspections, repairs, upgrades, and winterizations Collaborate with leadership, sales, and administrative teams to improve customer outcomes and operational efficiency Perform fieldwork when necessary to support capacity or address complex technical issues What Success Looks Like Your team starts each day with clear priorities and executes efficiently Services are completed on schedule with high levels of quality and customer satisfaction Irrigation Specialists receive consistent coaching, support, and development Documentation, service records, and customer communications are completed accurately Callbacks and rework remain low due to proper diagnosis and quality workmanship Labor hours, productivity, and parts usage remain within operational goals Customers view DreamLawn as a trusted irrigation partner Leadership has clear visibility into team performance, staffing needs, and operational risks Seasonal irrigation deadlines are consistently achieved Who Thrives in This Role This is a great fit for someone who: Has strong technical irrigation knowledge and enjoys solving complex problems Naturally leads and develops others Takes ownership of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction Thrives in a fast-paced field environment Communicates effectively with both customers and team members Enjoys balancing field support with operational leadership responsibilities Is motivated by accountability, performance, and continuous improvement Wants to play a key role in growing a high-performing irrigation department Required Qualifications Minimum three years of irrigation service, repair, installation, or related industry experience Strong working knowledge of irrigation controllers, valves, wiring, electrical diagnostics, pressure issues, system coverage, and winterization Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex irrigation system issues Experience leading, training, mentoring, or coaching field employees Strong planning, organization, and scheduling skills Excellent customer service and communication abilities Ability to analyze service documentation and operational performance metrics Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to perform the physical requirements of irrigation field work Experience using mobile technology and service-management software Ability to pass a background check Preferred Qualifications Five or more years of irrigation industry experience Previous experience as a Lead Technician, Crew Leader, Field Supervisor, or Service Manager Experience estimating irrigation repairs and installations Irrigation, backflow, or water-management certifications Experience managing inventory, quality inspections, and seasonal field operations Experience using RealGreen or similar service-management software Career Growth Opportunity DreamLawn is committed to developing leaders from within.
