Job Description

Grounds Normal Work Schedule:
Monday•Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm. weekends and overtime as required
Job Summary:
The Groundskeeping Team Lead provides basic labor for landscape and flower installation and maintenance. Works outdoors in all types of weather. Drives University vehicles such as trucks, golf carts, mowers, and tractors from site-to-site. Assists with supervision of other grounds keeping employees in department.
Additional Department Summary:
Over 8-hour days may be required based on the condition of the grounds and campus event schedules, including football games. Requires work in all types of weather conditions.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of grounds keeping experience.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:
Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions. Final candidates must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.
Skills and Knowledge:
Ability to work overtime, sometimes on short notice. Ability to closely observe and adhere to all safety rules and regulations as listed on product and equipment labels and as directed by management.
