Temp-to-Hire Opportunity Position Overview Express Employment Professionals in Waterloo is seeking a Groundskeeper and Landscaper to join a local team. This position is responsible for maintaining and improving outdoor grounds through mowing, trimming, landscaping, snow removal, and general property upkeep. The ideal candidate will enjoy working outdoors, have experience with landscaping equipment, and take pride in maintaining attractive and safe grounds.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, weed control, mulching, and trash removal Mow grass and prune trees and shrubs Apply treatments to lawns and landscaping as needed Assist with maintaining existing landscaping and ensuring plant health Plant flowers, bushes, trees, and decorative shrubs Assist with planning and implementing landscaping projects Remove snow and ice from sidewalks, parking lots, and driveways Water, trim, and weed flowerbeds Clean and maintain outdoor features, including fountains Prepare vehicles and trailers for use by checking fluid levels, lights, tires, and seating Maintain tractors, mowers, trimmers, and other grounds equipment Work collaboratively with maintenance staff to complete work orders Assist with moves, setups, and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required Two years of residential or commercial landscaping experience preferred Experience operating hand tools and grounds maintenance equipment Basic oral, written, and math skills Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks Strong attention to detail and reliability
