Our client, Turf Tiger, provides professional lawn care, landscaping, and grounds maintenance services for residential and commercial properties. Their team focuses on quality workmanship, efficient service, and maintaining clean, professional properties throughout the season.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Landscape & Grounds Crew Member who can confidently perform professional mowing, property maintenance, landscaping, and seasonal cleanup work. This position is designed for someone with previous professional lawn care or landscaping experience who understands how to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality. The ideal candidate can recognize what a professionally finished property should look like, operate commercial lawn-care equipment safely, and complete assigned work without constant direction. This individual may also assist with guiding or training less-experienced crew members when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Professionally mow and maintain residential and commercial properties. Operate commercial mowing and lawn-care equipment safely and efficiently. Weed whip, edge, and finish properties to professional standards. Trim and shape shrubs and bushes. Perform landscaping and general property-maintenance projects. Complete spring and fall cleanup projects. Blow and clean sidewalks, driveways, parking areas, and landscaped spaces. Move mulch, soil, rock, debris, and other landscaping materials. Safely use wheelbarrows, hand tools, power equipment, and other landscaping equipment. Load, unload, organize, and secure equipment and materials. Identify property concerns or maintenance needs and communicate them to the appropriate team member. Work efficiently through assigned properties while maintaining consistent quality. Assist with training or guiding less-experienced crew members when needed. Maintain clean, safe, and professional jobsites. Properly operate, clean, and care for landscaping equipment. Interact professionally and respectfully with customers, coworkers, and customer properties. Follow established safety procedures and company standards. Assist with additional lawn care, landscaping, and grounds-maintenance responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous professional mowing, lawn care, grounds maintenance, or landscaping experience required. Experience operating commercial mowing and lawn-care equipment required. Strong understanding of professional mowing, trimming, edging, shrub care, and property cleanup. Ability to recognize and consistently produce a professionally finished property. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outdoor environment. Ability to work independently without constant supervision. Good judgment and problem-solving skills. Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Team-oriented with a willingness to assist wherever needed. Professional and respectful communication skills. Valid driver's license and clean driving record strongly preferred. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday. Ability to lift, carry, load, unload, and move landscaping materials and equipment. Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work for extended periods.
Working Conditions:
Outdoor work in varying temperatures and weather conditions. Physically demanding environment involving lawn care, landscaping, grounds maintenance, and material handling. Regular operation of commercial landscaping machinery, power equipment, and hand tools. Daily hours may vary depending on workload, weather, and seasonal demands. Spring and fall cleanup seasons include approximately three weeks of extended workdays, typically 10-11 hours per day. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
