Duties Assist with digging graves using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment while following strict safety protocols Maintain cemetery grounds through mowing, landscaping, planting, pruning, and tree trimming to ensure a neat and welcoming environment Operate groundskeeping equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, irrigation systems, and hardscape tools with precision and care Support landscape maintenance tasks including planting flowers or shrubs, managing irrigation systems, and applying pesticides safely when needed Help with snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways accessible and safe for visitors Follow safety procedures diligently during all outdoor activities and equipment operation to prevent accidents or injuries Assist with general grounds maintenance tasks such as debris removal, soil preparation, and minor construction or hardscape repairs Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of landscaping and groundskeeping equipment including power tools, irrigation systems, and hand tools Experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, tree care, and hardscape installation or repair Ability to identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and pests; knowledge of pesticide management is a plus Familiarity with lawn care practices such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aeration Knowledge of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments and equipment operation Previous experience in groundskeeping or outdoor maintenance roles preferred but not required; willingness to learn is valued Construction experience or skills in hardscape projects can be advantageous for minor site improvements This role offers an engaging environment for individuals passionate about outdoor work, landscaping, and maintaining beautiful grounds.
