Responsibilities Maintain athletic fields, and landscaped grounds through mowing, edging, fertilizing, and planting. Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment including lawn mowers, power tools, chainsaws, irrigation systems, and other landscaping machinery. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed. Perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of materials, soil, or equipment safely and efficiently. Conduct landscape maintenance activities including pruning, planting, weed control, and pest management using appropriate pesticides following safety protocols. Use hand tools and power tools safely for tasks like trimming, edging, aerating, or installing landscape features. Maintain equipment through routine inspections and repairs to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Qualifications Prior experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is valued. Knowledge of irrigation systems, pesticide management, and athletic field or golf course groundskeeping is advantageous. Ability to operate company vehicles and landscaping equipment responsibly and safely. Familiarity with power tool safety procedures and equipment maintenance practices. Physical stamina for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged outdoor work in various weather conditions. Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining high standards of grounds appearance. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
