In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing landscapes through skilled mowing, landscaping, and groundskeeping practices. Your work will ensure beautiful, healthy, and safe outdoor environments that inspire pride and satisfaction. Whether you're trimming trees, managing irrigation systems, or operating power tools, your efforts will directly contribute to the aesthetic appeal and functionality of our outdoor spaces. Duties Operate lawn mowers, string trimmers, hedge trimmers, and other power tools to maintain turf areas and landscaped features. Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, mulching, and flower bed care to promote healthy growth and visual appeal. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues for optimal plant health. Identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and pests to support horticultural health and implement pest management strategies responsibly. Conduct groundskeeping activities including debris removal, edging, fertilizing, and soil preparation to keep outdoor areas pristine. Follow safety protocols diligently when handling equipment and chemicals to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and colleagues. Assist with tree trimming, landscape installation projects, and seasonal clean-up efforts to keep outdoor spaces vibrant year-round. Experience Prior outdoor work experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping is highly preferred. Demonstrated mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation tools. Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques including planting, pruning, fertilizing, and pest control practices. Knowledge of horticulture principles related to plant identification and soil management. Experience operating hand tools like shovels, rakes, pruners along with power tools safely and effectively. Understanding of safety protocols related to pesticide management and equipment operation in outdoor settings. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a high standard of quality and safety.
