This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in outdoor work while supporting the upkeep of diverse landscapes. Duties Assist with landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, pruning, and plant care to ensure healthy growth and visual appeal Operate groundskeeping equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools safely and efficiently Support planting projects by preparing soil, planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and installing landscape features like mulch or decorative stones Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks, adjusting sprinkler heads, and ensuring proper water distribution Perform hardscape installations including setting pavers, retaining walls, walkways, and other outdoor structures Conduct routine groundskeeping tasks such as debris removal, edging, fertilizing, and pest management following safety protocols Assist with seasonal tasks like snow plowing or winter cleanup to keep outdoor spaces accessible and safe year-round Qualifications Prior outdoor work experience or familiarity with landscaping activities is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key! Basic mechanical knowledge and experience operating landscaping equipment such as power tools and excavators Knowledge of plant identification, horticulture principles, and pesticide management practices is a plus Ability to follow safety protocols diligently while handling tools and equipment in outdoor environments Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, digging, and standing for extended periods Excellent attention to detail for grounds maintenance tasks like mowing accuracy and plant care Valid driver's license preferred; willingness to learn about irrigation systems, tree care techniques, and hardscape installation Embark on a rewarding journey where your hands-on skills help shape stunning landscapes!
