In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the beauty, safety, and functionality of outdoor spaces across various properties. Your expertise will help create inviting landscapes, well-kept grounds, and safe environments for visitors and residents alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, utilizing a variety of tools and techniques to bring landscapes to life while adhering to safety standards and best practices. Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and fertilizing to ensure healthy and attractive grounds. Operate groundskeeping equipment such as lawn mowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape machinery with precision and safety awareness. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules, troubleshoot issues, and perform system adjustments as needed. Conduct tree trimming, shrub shaping, and plant identification to promote plant health and landscape aesthetics. Maintain hardscape features like pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures for safety and visual appeal. Implement pest control measures following pesticide management protocols to protect plants and maintain a pest-free environment. Assist with snow plowing during winter months to ensure safe access pathways and parking areas. Requirements Proven outdoor work experience with a strong understanding of landscape maintenance and groundskeeping practices. Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment operation and troubleshooting. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, lawn care equipment, and irrigation systems safely and effectively. Knowledge of horticulture principles including plant identification, soil health, fertilization, and pest management. Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions while adhering to safety protocols. Excellent attention to detail in maintaining the appearance and safety of outdoor spaces.
