Reports directly to Lawn Care Manager, provide service to residential and commercial customers by making timely lawn applications, diagnosing and correcting lawn issues through service calls and other customer communications, and selling/up selling services to new and/or existing customers, resulting in growth of the customer base.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage inventory, ensure lawn applications are occurring on schedule set by operations manager, ensure all applications are done in accordance with state, local and federal laws governing pesticides.
• Apply fertilizers and pesticides to lawns according to schedule, safety procedures, and label instructions.
• Drives company vehicle to customer location.
• Responds on a timely basis to customer requests for telephone and in person service calls.
• Completes required production forms and customer instructions.
• Assists in sales to current customers through contact on route and telemarketing.
• Measures the lawn of potential customers to provide them with an accurate cost.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment through cleanliness, safety, and general maintenance.
• Complete production reports, new sales forms, and customer invoice forms.
• Operation of aeration equipment and application of grass seed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Candidate must be able to perform the duties listed above successfully in varying weather conditions and possess a valid driver's license. Must have or be able to obtain Pesticide Operator or Applicator License within 90 days of employment, company will pay all fees. Position also requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. multiple times per day.

EXPERIENCE

A minimum of one season of fertilizer and/or pesticide application experience on residential, commercial, golf course, or sports field turf. Should have basic knowledge of grass types, cultural practices, and insect and disease identification. Experience on the PermaGreen Ride-On Spreader, L.T. Rich Z-Spray Spreader, Pump sprayers (lawn spray equipment), and/or Tree and Shrub Application experience is a major plus.
