In this role, you will support licensed pesticide applicators by assisting with chemical handling, equipment operation, and outdoor pest control activities. Duties Assist licensed pesticide applicators with the preparation and application on lawns Operate zero turn machines Follow strict safety protocols including procedures, and chemical handling guidelines Support pest management strategies through equipment setup, calibration, and maintenance in accordance with integrated pest management principles Conduct outdoor inspections for pests, weeds, or crop health issues; document findings accurately for reporting purposes Help ensure compliance with pesticide management regulations and safety standards during all operations Support customer service efforts by communicating professionally with clients about procedures and safety measures Requirements Prior outdoor work experience in landscaping, lawn care preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with ride on machinery Knowledge of pesticide application techniques, chemical agent handling, and pest control methods is a plus Ability to follow safety protocols rigorously including ladder safety procedures and respiratory protection measures Good physical condition to perform outdoor tasks involving lifting Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards teamwork and client interactions This paid position offers valuable training in pesticide application techniques while supporting vital environmental health efforts.
